In 1983, Tim Walker took an upholstery college course after his tour of duty in the military. He enjoyed it so much he took another advanced course.  A friend of his mother requested that he upholster her sofa and offered him $100 to do it.  With a growing family of two boys and a third on the way he certainly needed the extra money, so he accepted.  Little did he know that would be the seed for a thriving business. 

After graduating Tim worked on small upholstery jobs out of his home in the evenings and on weekends. His three sons would help and thus began learning the trade at a very early age. As time progressed his side jobs became more than he could keep up with while working full time and in 1994 Tim decided to put away the upholstery projects and focused on his full-time job as a mechanic.

Then in May of 2004 Tim was involved in a workplace accident.  His glove got caught and rolled his arm in a brake lathe machine. After three surgeries and 54 weeks out of work. Tim would never be able to return to automotive work.  It was this event that caused the family to team up and start Walker Fabrics. 

Chris and Justin Walker along with their wives Jessica and Sarah, teamed up with their parents Tim and Donna to opened Walker Fabrics, Inc. in May of 2005.  Walker Fabrics was started with just 100 rolls of fabric and one family’s vision to have an all-in-one stop for home décor fabrics and upholstery. 

Walker Fabrics is both a retail upholstery fabric store and an upholstery shop.

With literally millions of fabrics. From hanging gallery samples to fabric book samples and over 550 rolls of in stock fabrics.

The Walkers have a 40 years’ worth of upholstery and fabric experience. Walker Fabrics has you covered with residential, automotive, marine, hospitality, medical or commercial upholstery.  There is literally no job too big or too small.
